The basics of Industrial noise is the analysis of the sources that their specific noise might exceed the background noise of an area to investigate which noise might be controlled in order to contribute to an effective reduction of the overall noise level. Surveys comply to BS 4142 as Method of Rating Industrial Noise Affecting Mixed Residential and Industrial Areas using LAeq,15m measurements for the specific noise and LA,90 for background noise. This standard lead to conclusions whether complains might arise from the adjoined listener areas, when comparing rating level to background level.  Indication of sources and analysis of their levels over a OBCF would provide the proposals of noise control methods.
